USA Diving Makes a Splash at ISM

Rio is going to be hosting several Hoosiers at the upcoming Olympic Games! This summer has been an exciting time in the world of sports here in Indianapolis. Between the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500, American Ninja Warrior, and the US Olympic Diving Trials – we have been a central spotlight in the Midwest for athletes and fans alike. Kahn’s Catering is happy to have been part of the Olympic action by working with USA Diving as they honored award recipients at the Rings of Honor ceremony held at the Indiana State Museum. This event marked the second class of honorees into the US Diving Hall of Fame and occurred toward the end of the US Olympic Trials week held at the IUPUI Natatorium. The event was hosted on a non-competition day, and attended by over 300 supporters.

The Indiana State Museum was the hotspot for diving fans, coaches, athletes and honorees. The O’Bannon Family Great Hall was doused in blue uplighting giving an underwater feel to the space, coupled with blue crush linens on tabletops to add to the atmosphere. The evening was a relaxed social affair. Food stations and cash bars were available to attendees prior the evening’s presentation. Guests mixed and mingled throughout the hall, taking several photos, catching up, and recapping an excellent week of diving competition.

We love the use of audio visual that USA Diving elected to use. With the expertise of Markey’s Audio Visual, the Indiana State Museum’s exclusive AV vendor, they created an incredible awards presentation. With three full screens framing the stage, prime microphones and audio equipment, everything was in place for a successful event. Even those guests seated further back in O’Bannon Great Hall were able to see what was happening on stage thanks to a live feed setup that projected onto the screens.
