Samantha + Taylor’s Montage Wedding
With a gloriously sunny day shining down on them, Samantha and Taylor were thinking ahead and opted to host their ceremony in the Chardonnay Room. It’s a good thing too as the temperature was sweltering this past Saturday. Despite the high temperatures, Samantha and Taylor were still exchange their vows under the sun as the Chardonnay Room is a completely glass room allowing the beautiful outside light inside at all angles.
They hosted a late afternoon ceremony beginning at 5:30pm with cocktail hour directly following in the Champagne Room. Adjoined to the Chardonnay Room, guests were able to flow into the cocktail hour space immediately following the ceremony without hesitation. Guests were treated to an open bar and signature drink with passed hors d’oeuvres. Once the call to dinner sounded from the chimes, guests were seated for dinner before the newly weds and their bridal party made their grand introductions.

Wedding Cake
Red velvet cake with cream cheese filling with both vanilla and chocolate buttercream
When a couple opts for a truly unique cake, it’s completely worth sharing. Most wedding cakes are white buttercream and flowers, or a naked cake with fruit. Browse Pinterest and you’ll see that many cakes take on the same type of look, with different flavors of course. So, when we have the opportunity to use chocolate and vanilla buttercream on one cake? It’s worth showing off.
Inspired by another Kahn’s Catering couple from many years ago, this duo-cake mixes both the traditional elements of a most wedding cakes with luscious chocolate buttercream reminiscent of a groom’s cake. We love the two sided design that allows both the bride and groom to have separate elements in one joint union of a wedding cake.
Once dinner and cake were served and toasts made, the party truly got underway. Guests danced for several hours to the sounds of Event One DJs. Other entertainment included caricature artists and photo booth. Around 10pm, the couple and their guests moved to the patios and garden with drinks in hand for another round of toasts and a wonderful treat of fireworks! When everyone gathered back inside, late night snacks had been set up – the perfect way to get a little more energy after a rousing night of fun.
Late Night Snack
Four cheese & pesto personal pizzas with garlic oregano crust
Artisan pepperoni personal pizzas with garlic oregano crust
Assorted mini cupcakes
