On the day you said ‘I do!’ the last thing you want to feel is rushed or stressed about getting to the church on time. Having your ceremony and reception in one location can certainly cut down on the stress, but getting ready at the same location makes it even easier. That’s exactly what our bride, Jenna, did on her wedding day at Eiteljorg Museum. Beginning in the morning with hair and makeup on-site, she and her bridesmaids relaxed, enjoyed lunch together, and were able to enjoy each others company.

Nearly everyone in Indiana will say our weather this year has been different than usual, especially the rain. Despite the weather on this May day, nothing was going to rain on Jenna and Dominic’s parade. Moving their ceremony from the outdoor gardens to Eagle Commons, Jenna and Dominic were fortunate enough to spend a little time outside before their ceremony sharing a first look and a few other special photo moments before walking down the aisle.

Following their ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while the newlyweds captured memories with their bridal party and photographer. During cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres were passed and guests enjoyed cocktails. Kahn’s Catering believes that if you a couple choosing a great meal experience for your guests, you should enjoy every part of it. Even though Jenna, Dominic, and their bridal party didn’t participate in cocktail hour, they were all able to enjoy the delicious hors d’oeuvres that were selected. Our chefs prepared a special plated selection for the wedding party to enjoy at the head table when they were seated for dinner.

The tables in Clowes Sculpture Court were dressed in white linen with navy napkins and grey table runners. Each place setting included a mint canister celebrating the couple’s wedding date and initials. Centerpieces were both high and low throughout the room boasting of floral arrangements and cream colored lanterns.

Everyone enjoyed a three course meal. While wedding cake is the typical way couples choose to end their meal, Jenna and Dominic had other ideas. After cutting a small two tier vanilla cake with white chocolate buttercream icing wrapped in navy ribbon, guests enjoyed a New York style cheesecake with fresh fruit topping.
