Wedding Trends: Expressions of LOVE at Your Wedding

Published On: December 30, 2013Categories: Kahn's Catering, Wedding Trends

Some say the language of love is spoken, others say it is expressed through the emotional and mental attraction one holds for another. Each of us expresses our love in different ways, one of which is art form. As for the meaning of this art expression, Aristotle said it best, “The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.”

A perfect local representation of love in a literal art translation is the original LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana. This pop art masterpiece can be found on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. And the state of Indiana has many more literal representations of love and other selections of expressive art. If we travel just a few miles down the road to the Indiana State Museum we find the massive vertical sculpture also by Robert Indiana that pays homage to Indiana.

In 2014 bride and grooms are expressing their love in letters, pop art and marquee letters are one of the top wedding trends for this year. What is your wedding theme? Is it modern art, old opulence with a hint of movie theatre, or maybe there is not a specific theme, but rather a color scheme? Let your love be spelled out in many different art forms with marquee letters and modern art pieces.
