Special Event: Eskenazi Hospital Grand Opening
The downtown Indianapolis area on December 7th will be enjoying the pleasures and new health opportunities that the Sid and Lois Eskenazi Hospital will have to offer. With years of financial and construction planning this grand hospital will be “on schedule and on budget” said president and CEO of Health and Hospital Corp., Matthew Gutwein in an IndyStar interview. Sidney and Lois Eskenazi gave $40 million to fund this project and would have done nothing less for the Indianapolis community. Sidney Eskenazi told IndyStar, “They earned their living here and we ought to create a legacy here.” A legacy built on health and physical care people of the Indianapolis area may come and receive from this state of the art facility.
Kahn’s Catering had the dear pleasure of providing the food, beverage, service, and event management for the Eskenazi Hospital Grand Opening dinner. The dinner began with guests entertained with the singing of a children choir as well as guest speakers congratulating and thanking those who helped the hospital come together.
The Sid and Lois Eskenazi Hospital will be open to the public for health care on December 7, 2013. The hospital will be able to take care of 327 inpatients, 17 operating rooms, 4 interventional labs, 12 labor and delivery rooms, 90 emergency treatment rooms, more than 200 exam rooms, and adult Trauma Centers for burn injuries.
