Rachel + Mark’s Montage Moments

Published On: August 18, 2016Categories: Montage

From saying ‘I do’ in our lakeside Ceremony Garden at Montage, to departing along a trail of sparklers, both Rachel and Mark were nothing but smiles from the moment they arrived until they left. With gorgeous blue skies above, their teal and silver wedding colors beautifully complimented an already beautiful day.

The bride and groom arrived mid-afternoon, staying hidden from one another, to take photos with their attendants and family before their wedding ceremony. This gave them ample time following their ceremony to spend time together as newlyweds taking photos without the rush of needing to get all of their photos taken during cocktail hour. Rachel and Mark opted for a water ceremony in place of a traditional unity candle, a unique alternative that we do not see very often. The glasses they pour from and into were engraved, creating a memorable keepsake.

Cocktail hour was held in the Chardonnay Room with the reception being held in a separate space. Guests left their mark in a dictionary used as a guest book and offered dating advice to the couple during cocktail hour. The reception began around 6:45pm with a welcome by the bride and groom to their guests, followed by the cutting of their cake. Their cake was truly an ombre masterpiece, all created in-house by our talented Dinner was served and champagne was poured for toasts.

Each table was set with silver linen, silver chair cover and sashed in teal matching their teal satin napkins, with the total look being tied together by a beautiful centerpiece featured floral in tall vases and crystals.  Following dinner, the DJ hosted the newlywed game, quizzing Rachel and Mark about their know-how of the other. Then, the lights dimmed and their special dances began. Rachel and Mark shared a first dance together and each took the opportunity to dance with their parents after. During their special dances, a video played on our large overhead projection screen featuring images of Rachel and Mark together as they were growing up.

As the sun was setting Rachel and Mark snuck back outside for a few sunset photos. Everyone danced surrounded by the vibrant colored uplights scattered around the room. As the night came to an end, guests exited to the front of the building, sparklers in hand, to send off Rachel and Mark against a curtain of glittering gold.
